N-GAUGE LAYOUT OF RESIDENTIAL AND PARK AREA

OVERVIEW OF HAMMONDVILLE

overview

In 2005 I started an N-gauge layout and named the town Hammondville.  There is a Hammondsville but this town does not represent a specific town.  The track was originally started with electrical switches which was changed to Digital Command Control.  The switches and the engines are now controlled by DCC remote control and will be connected to our computer system.  Seting up a layout board the track took considerable time to lay out. Portions of the track had to be set a number of times before all three of my engines would run properly across the track.

It can be seen from the overview that there are numerous areas with no construction as of yet.  This is a town under construction and will grow and fill in with time.  The park has all the scenery fabricated through imagination and materials from around the house.  For most of the park apparatus toothpicks and balsa wood was used.  For the fences we used screening material and nails.  From my success with the park I decided to make my own models.  The next upcoming major project planned to be built in Hammondville is an HEB.  Right now it is waiting approval from the town counsel before breaking ground on this project.  For more details about Hammondville and its constructions click on the link below.
